Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 May 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Volt mobile application ("Volt App"), the Volt Manager venue tool ("Volt Manager") and our website (together, the "Services"), operated by Volt in Sri Lanka. By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Definitions

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old (or use the Services with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian) to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and for all activity under your account. You must keep your login credentials secure.

3. The Services

Volt provides a platform that connects Players with Venues and gives Venue owners tools to manage bookings. Volt is not the provider of the sporting facilities themselves; venues are operated independently by Venue owners. We do not guarantee the availability, quality, safety or condition of any venue.

4. Bookings

When a Player makes a Booking, a direct arrangement is formed between the Player and the Venue. Volt facilitates this Booking but is not a party to it. Venue owners are responsible for honouring confirmed Bookings, and Players are responsible for attending or cancelling in good time according to the Venue's policy.

5. Payments & fees

Bookings may be settled by cash or bank transfer, with card payments coming soon. Pricing for each venue is set by the Venue owner.

Volt may charge payments from Venue owners based on their signed contract with Volt, and may charge payments from Players as explicitly stated in the Volt App at the time of booking. We always try our best to keep payment terms fair and transparent.

Volt does not charge an onboarding fee. This applies to all venues as a standard condition, not as part of any offer.

Founding 50 offer: our first 50 venues onboarding before 31 July 2026 receive Volt Manager free and 0% booking commission on Volt App bookings for 12 months from go-live. The full terms of this offer are confirmed in writing in the Venue owner's agreement.

6. Cancellations & refunds

Cancellation and refund terms for a Booking are determined by the relevant Venue and shown at the time of Booking where applicable. Any refunds are handled between the Player and the Venue. Volt may assist but is not responsible for issuing refunds for venue services it does not provide.

7. Venue owner terms

Venue owners are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, pricing and availability, and for complying with all laws applicable to their business. Bookings made at your venue, and the associated customer data, belong to your venue; you may export this data at any time. Volt Manager may be used with or without the Volt App. There is no lock-in — you may stop using Volt Manager at any time.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misuse the Services; provide false information; attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our systems; use the Services for any unlawful purpose; or infringe the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Volt name, logo, software, designs and content are owned by Volt or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without our written permission.

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties regarding the Services or any venue, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Volt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your dealings with a Venue or another user. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of Sri Lanka.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Volt against claims, losses and expenses arising from your misuse of the Services or breach of these Terms.

13. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

14. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest revision, and continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
